In my quest to stay on top of the world of accessibility and adaptable equipment for people living with disabilities, I’ll be attending Canada’s Premier Event for Persons with Disabilities: People In Motion.
It’s happening at the Exhibition Place in Toronto on May 31st and June 1st. You can keep up with the event on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/piminc
People in Motion features 63,000 square feet of exhibits which include adapted vehicles, mobility aids, barrier-free design, rehabilitation services, home health care products, accessible travel, leisure activities, technical aids, employment information, corporate services and government programs.
Everything for a wide range of disabilities is displayed under one roof, making it easy for consumers and professionals to see and compare products and services.People in Motion is for you!
I have been looking for a new sport, a new activity or new adaptable equipment since last year when I bought my cottage. It was a huge milestone for me to have an accessible place up north in nature to share with family and friends. Only, I’m not able to do all of the activities I used to enjoy at the old family cottage, so I’m looking forward to finding my new sport at the new cottage!
So what can a gal living with disabilities do to stay actives and live an enhanced lifestyle? I can ride an accessible bike and kayak.
I’m going to People in Motion to find out more, and I’ll keep you posted 🙂
